Jaime Burse

AIS teacher, Reading

After many a time forcing her younger brother to play school, Jaime earned an education degree and was able to turn a childhood pastime into a lifetime passion. Jaime spent the fist four years of her career teaching second and third graders in Wisconsin. It soon became clear to her that being able to read well was one of the most powerful predictors for student success regardless of their background. Jaime went on to receive her masters degree in reading and has since been on a quest to provide the best possible reading instruction to each and every student.

Jaime moved to Cooperstown in 2017 with her significant other. It has proven to be a fantastic place to explore the outdoors She has enjoyed getting to know families in the community and has made an effort to become involved in those organizations that strengthen it. When not active on the Angel Network Board, you may see Jaime volunteering with Girls on the Run, hiking with her two dogs, or curled up in a cozy corner with a book.
